Following a devastating betrayal by his own faction after a championship match loss, Christian Cage received help from a returning, familiar face at All In.

Cope Returns To Save Christian Cage After Patriarchy Betrayal at AEW All In

The alliance between Christian Cage and his protégés in The Patriarchy imploded at AEW All In, culminating in a shocking betrayal that prompted the dramatic return of Cope.

The hostile turn occurred immediately after the triple threat match for the AEW Tag Team Championship. During the bout, which saw The Hurt Syndicate defend against the teams of Christian Cage & Nick Wayne and Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight, interference from FTR on the ring apron distracted Cage. This opening allowed Bobby Lashley to hit a spear and secure the pinfall victory, retaining the titles.

After the match, as FTR stood on the apron, Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian cornered their leader. Wayne then grabbed a stunned Cage and hit him with his own signature maneuver, the Killswitch. The two set him up for a Conchairto, but before they could strike, Cope’s music hit the arena.

Wielding his spiked 2×4, Cope charged the ring and took out both Sabian and Wayne. He then delivered a double spear to chase off FTR, clearing the ring entirely.

With the carnage settled, Cope stood over a pleading Christian Cage. He picked his long-time friend up, grabbed a microphone, and delivered a short, cryptic message.

“Go find yourself.”

Cope then dropped the microphone and departed, leaving Christian alone in the ring to contemplate the events.
