Green and her partner Piper Niven faced the team of Sol Ruca and Zaria in tag team competition, ultimately losing the contest after a physical encounter.
The incident occurred during the match, though the exact moment of injury wasn’t immediately clear. Cameras caught Green visibly bleeding from her nose while still participating in the action.
The match began with Sol Ruca executing a facebuster on Green before a series of tags allowed all competitors to showcase their offense.
After Green tagged in Piper Niven, Sol Ruca attempted a springboard splash but missed her target. This led to a sequence where Green was tagged back in briefly before Niven returned to action.
Sol Ruca displayed her athleticism throughout the match, at one point executing a diving crossbody on both Green and Niven at ringside. The high-flying assault continued as the match progressed.
Despite Green and Niven mounting offense during the contest, the babyface team maintained control through much of the encounter.
The finishing sequence saw Zaria deliver an F5 to Piper Niven, dropping her directly onto Chelsea Green. Sol Ruca then executed her signature Sol Snatcher finisher on Green to secure the victory for her team.
Green continued competing despite the visible nasal injury, completing the match without medical stoppage. WWE has not released information regarding the severity of Green’s injury or expected recovery time.
The loss comes as Green and Niven continue their run as a tag team on the SmackDown brand while making this special appearance on NXT.
