Lyra Valkyria will defend her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Ivy Nile tonight on RAW from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. This marks Valkyria’s second title defense since becoming the inaugural champion in January.
The buildup to tonight’s championship match has intensified through social media exchanges between the competitors. Valkyria initiated the verbal sparring by referring to her American Made challenger as a “meat head” in an Instagram post.
Nile responded directly to Valkyria’s taunt on the same platform, countering by labeling the champion “EGG HEAD” in her reply.
The exchange has added personal stakes to their championship confrontation.
Valkyria defeated Dakota Kai in the tournament finals to become the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion in January. She successfully defended the title against Kai last week on RAW, setting up tonight’s match against a new challenger.
Nile joined WWE in 2020 and has competed on NXT and RAW as part of American Made alongside Chad Gable and the Creed Brothers. Despite her tenure with the company, tonight represents her first opportunity to capture championship gold.
