Dakota Kai’s Injury is More Serious Than Previously Thought

According to PWInsider, Dakota Kai will not participate in the Women’s Royal Rumble match due to ongoing concussion protocol. The Damage CTRL member sustained the injury during a tag team match after taking a springboard missile dropkick from Zoey Stark.

PWInsider Elite reports that Kai must clear WWE’s concussion protocol before returning to in-ring competition. The two-time tag team champion has already missed several shows following the injury.

This marks Kai’s second absence from competition in the past year. WWE has not announced a timeline for her return to action.
