Damian Priest may have undergone subtle character change, warns ex-WWE

Damian Priest secured a victory over Finn Balor in the Street Fight main event on RAW. However, a specific moment during the match raised concerns about character portrayal when Priest attacked Balor while he was receiving medical attention on a stretcher.

The match marked a potential conclusion to their ongoing rivalry, with Priest emerging victorious. The controversial moment occurred when medical staff attempted to remove Balor from the match on a stretcher, only for Priest to continue his assault.

Former WWE writer Vince Russo addressed the sequence during Legion of RAW:

Priest was a heel attacking Finn Balor with a neck brace on a stretcher. They should have done the complete opposite, where Priest turns his back on Balor and Balor gets up, playing possum the whole time. But by the time they finished this, it wasn’t a real injury anyway.

Bad Bunny hints at WWE Backlash location

During a Rolling Stone interview, Bad Bunny discussed WWE’s international expansion and suggested Backlash 2025 could take place in Mexico:

What can I tell you? It was nice. We were there until we could bring WWE to Puerto Rico. And man, I actually feel like it was good for them and for everyone, because I saw that last year Backlash was in France, now it’s going to Mexico. They saw that it worked.

LuchaBlog noted Bad Bunny might have referenced a parody post, stating he “is not a reliable source about WWE being in Mexico.”
