Chelsea Green has publicly affirmed that her husband Matt Cardona’s ultimate ambition is to secure a full-time return to WWE. The statement provides definitive context to Cardona’s surprising re-emergence on company programming one week ago, fueling speculation about his future.
In an interview with CinemaBlend, the RAW superstar detailed Cardona’s long-term objective.
“Now, that we’re coming up on our ninth year together, I would love to have him at WWE, and I know that’s his ultimate goal… My fingers are crossed for that, too. 2026, the year of Matt Cardona, maybe at the Rumble,” Green said.
Green’s comments follow Cardona’s appearance on the September 23rd edition of NXT, which marked his first time on WWE television since his release in April 2020. He was featured in a parking lot segment with the NXT Champion Trick Williams and TNA Champion Oba Femi, appearing alongside Eric Young and TNA’s Moose as part of the ongoing crossover angle between the two promotions.
Following that NXT show, Green posted her support online, stating: “That’s my man ♥️ Welcome back to #WWENXT baby.”
