Dream Match Between WWE and TNA Announced for NXT Roadblock

The Hardy Boyz returned to WWE on the February 25 episode of NXT, defeating members of the No Quarter Catch Crew in their debut match on the brand. Matt and Jeff Hardy entered as the current TNA World Tag Team Champions for their first-ever appearance on NXT.

Myles Borne and Tavion Heights challenged the Hardy Boys, who received an enthusiastic reception from the NXT crowd. Fans greeted the veteran team with “welcome back” chants as they made their entrance. Commentary noted that even Borne, who is partially deaf, could hear the loud reaction from the audience.

The match featured quick action with the Hardy Boyz executing their signature moves while maintaining control through much of the contest. During a commercial break, the action continued with picture-in-picture coverage as fans began chanting “you still got it” toward the veteran team.

No Quarter Catch Crew eventually gained momentum and took control of the match, building anticipation for the Hardy Boys’ comeback. The finish came when Matt Hardy delivered a Twist of Fate to Miles Borne, followed by Jeff Hardy hitting a Swanton Bomb for the victory.

Following the match, NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom entered the ring to confront the Hardy Boyz. Matt Hardy acknowledged that Fraxiom was impressive, while Frazer called the Hardys the greatest tag team of all time. Santino Marella then appeared to announce that the two teams would face each other at Roadblock on March 11 at Madison Square Garden with the TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line.
