Former NXT Champion Responds to Backstage Bullying Accusations

In her first public interview since her WWE release, former NXT star Cora Jade has directly addressed the recent bullying allegations made against her by onetime developmental talent Alexis Lete. Speaking with TMZ Sports, Jade asserted that Lete is using her name to generate attention long after the supposed incidents took place.

Jade was dismissive of the claims, suggesting they were a calculated move for publicity. “Somebody like that, in my opinion, two and a half years later, you’re reaching for something and saying my name in interviews, and that’s the only time you’ve ever gotten any sort of relevancy,” Jade stated. “So, I’m not going to give you a single ounce more of it. I said what I needed to say.” She directed anyone seeking her full perspective to a previous statement made on her X (formerly Twitter) account and noted the allegations are false, mentioning she sent a video related to the matter to her lawyer.

The interview marks Jade’s response to a controversy that began when Alexis Lete, who signed with WWE in 2022 and was released in 2023 without making an on-screen debut, appeared on the “That One Time” podcast. Lete described Jade as one of her “main bullies” at the WWE Performance Center and claimed the conflict originated from a TikTok video. According to Lete, Jade demanded she delete the video, claiming it was “exposing the whole industry,” a charge Lete denied as it revealed no kayfabe elements.

Prior to her TMZ appearance, Jade, now wrestling under the name Elayna Black, had already issued a detailed rebuttal on social media. She countered that Lete “came into the pc and immediately had heat with everyone for being disrespectful on more than one occasion.” Jade claimed her initial interaction was an attempt to warn Lete that her reputation was souring with main roster talent.

Jade admitted to being “blunt to a fault sometimes” but firmly denied the bullying accusation, framing her actions as a defense of her respect for the wrestling business, which she felt Lete did not share.
