Anderson had been inactive since September 2024 while recovering from injury before his release. Michin, his former OC stablemate, responded to both Anderson and Luke Gallows leaving WWE.

Michin joined The OC in November 2022 and worked alongside Anderson and Gallows during their final WWE run.
