Former WWE broadcaster suggests Rhodes vs Reigns III with heel-face twist
Former WWE personality Matt Camp suggests a potential third match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns with reversed roles, while Rhodes extends his dominance over Sikoa.
A potential third encounter between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns could feature a dramatic role reversal, according to former WWE personality Matt Camp. Speaking on Busted Open, Camp explored the possibility of Rhodes embracing a villainous persona while Reigns shifts to a heroic role.
The potential matchup would mark a significant departure from their previous encounters at WrestleMania 39 and 40, where Rhodes and Reigns maintained consistent character alignments. Camp envisions Rhodes adopting a corporate persona, suggesting his wife Brandi’s involvement could amplify the storyline.
“There’s money in flipping their roles,” Camp said during the broadcast. “Imagine a corporate Cody Rhodes as champion, where power corrupts him, and you position Roman on the opposite side as a fan favorite.”
Rhodes maintains perfect record against Solo Sikoa
Following Monday Night RAW, Cody Rhodes extended his impressive winning streak against Solo Sikoa to 20 consecutive victories. Their rivalry, which began on March 12, 2023, has seen Rhodes dominate across various match types.
Despite Sikoa’s lone victory over Rhodes during a six-man tag team match at Money in the Bank 2023, he has yet to defeat The American Nightmare in singles competition. Notable encounters include Rhodes’ victories in WWE Championship matches at SummerSlam and the SmackDown on USA Network Premiere.
Rhodes now shifts his focus to an upcoming challenge against Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
