Former WWE NXT UK Tag Team Champion Mark Andrews made his surprise All Elite Wrestling debut on the August 24 episode of AEW Collision, where he was defeated by Big Bill.
The match, taped in Glasgow, Scotland, was a decisive victory for Big Bill, who used a Bossman Slam to secure the win. Following the pinfall, Big Bill continued his assault on the Welsh star, driving him through two steel chairs with a chokeslam.
Andrews is best known for his run in WWE’s NXT UK from 2017 to 2022, where he and Flash Morgan Webster, as part of the group Subculture, captured the NXT UK Tag Team Championship. The 33-year-old also previously held tag team gold in TNA and has been a prominent figure on the European independent circuit since his WWE release.
It remains unclear if the appearance was a one-off, as Andrews is one of several UK-based wrestlers to be featured during AEW’s current tour; fellow NXT UK alum Isla Dawn also made her debut at the same taping. For Big Bill, the dominant victory comes as he and Bryan Keith have begun to distance themselves from The Learning Tree, a faction led by Chris Jericho.
