Social media activity from Nia Jax has generated buzz about a potential WWE comeback ahead of WrestleMania weekend. The former Women’s Champion shared the official WrestleMania 41 promotional poster featuring her image on Instagram, despite not being scheduled to compete at the showcase event.

Jax has been absent from WWE programming since the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event on March 1, 2025. Her last in-ring appearance came in tag team action, where she teamed with Candice LeRae in a losing effort against the duo of Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus.

The inclusion of Jax in official WrestleMania promotional materials while being absent from weekly television has raised questions among fans. Her decision to share this promotional content on her personal social media has only intensified speculation about her status.

Inside information from WrestleVotes on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s “Live Q&A” program reveals medical clearance issues as the reason for her extended absence.

Nia Jax still hasn’t been cleared — I think that’s the best way to put it. From what I understand, she was supposed to be medically cleared about two weeks ago, but I don’t know if that ever happened. The fact is she hasn’t been on TV, and it’s unclear if that’s due to an injury or something else. Internally, what I know for sure is that she still hasn’t been cleared to compete, and that’s why she’s off the shows.

Before her hiatus, Jax held the WWE Women’s Championship until Tiffany Stratton successfully cashed in her Money in the Bank contract earlier this year to claim the title.
