Despite recent singles success, a prominent WWE performer has set her sights on a different path within the company. Nia Jax, who was notably absent from the WrestleMania 41 card, has expressed interest in shifting her focus away from individual competition.
During an appearance on The Nikki & Brie Show, Jax disclosed her intention to pursue tag team gold alongside her current partner Candice LeRae. This revelation comes after Jax has spent recent months competing primarily in singles action, where she captured both the Queen of the Ring tournament victory and the WWE Women’s Championship.
I wanna get back in the tag division. Me and Candice, we’ve been tagged up, and that was just kind of by chance, and I’m like, gosh, I kinda miss being in the tag division. It’s so much more fun when you’re playing off your partner and having a good time.
The Women’s Tag Team Championship scene recently saw significant changes at WrestleMania 41 when Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria captured the titles. However, Judgment Day members Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez have since reclaimed the gold on a subsequent episode of Raw.
Prior to her partnership with LeRae, Jax had formed an alliance with Tiffany Stratton on the SmackDown brand, showing her recent history with tag team competition.
