Bobby Lashley has opened up about his high-profile rivalry with Brock Lesnar in WWE, expressing his desire for a more elaborate storyline between the two former champions. During a recent appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Lashley discussed the creative limitations that affected their program.
The former two-time WWE Champion reflected on their initial encounter in 2022, which marked their first-ever singles match. Despite the anticipation surrounding their clash, Lashley acknowledged that the feud didn’t reach its full potential before an abrupt conclusion.
“I wanted to do a lot more with it. I wish we could have really done the things that we could have and should have wanted to do with that,” Lashley explained to Van Vliet. He emphasized how their rivalry could have benefited from additional layers of storytelling, particularly in showcasing their preparation methods.
The accomplished wrestler highlighted a unique dynamic in their feud, where Lesnar portrayed an unconventional babyface role. “Brock was a natural bully, but in this sense, he was kind of a babyface, because he was that guy coming back and forth and I was a heel at the time,” Lashley noted.
