Former WWE Champion Sets Sights on Meeting Inspirational Star During WrestleMania Weekend
Big E hopes to meet Chris Bey, the 29-year-old TNA star who made an inspiring comeback after suffering a life-threatening injury in October 2024.

The wrestling world is buzzing with excitement as WrestleMania 41 approaches, and one former champion has his sights set on a meaningful encounter that goes beyond the scripted drama of the ring. Big E has publicly expressed his desire to meet one of the industry’s most inspirational comeback stories during the Las Vegas festivities.
During a recent appearance on Sportskeeda’s “Bowks Talking Bouts” with Dylan Bowker, Big E opened up about his admiration for TNA star Chris Bey. The 29-year-old performer suffered what was described as a life-threatening injury in late October 2024, but stunned the wrestling world with his remarkable recovery that culminated in an emotional walk to the ring during a public appearance.
The Powerhouse of Positivity revealed that despite never having met Bey personally, he’s been deeply moved by his recovery journey. With Bey being a Las Vegas native and WrestleMania 41 set to take place in the same city, Big E sees the perfect opportunity for their paths to cross.
Seeing Chris doing a dip to get out of a chair and start walking was such a beautiful thing to see. I don’t think I’ve ever met him in person, but I know so many people who do know him, and they’re always said glowing things about him. I know he’s from Vegas and we’re going to Vegas for WrestleMania, so hopefully there’s a chance I bump into him and to say how much of an inspiration he is.
