Former WWE Star Clarifies Retirement Status After Recent Exit

NXT Superstar Jazmyn Nyx will leave WWE after turning down the company’s first contract extension offer. Her current deal is set to expire in October, after which she will become a free agent. Nyx confirmed her decision was driven by financial reasons.

The rejected extension was reportedly a multi-year agreement worth $75,000 per year, the same figure as her existing salary. Fightful Select reported the offer included no raise. On social media, Nyx pushed back against claims that NXT performers earn higher pay, writing, “If I was making that, it would’ve been great!”

Despite declining the deal, Nyx emphasized she remains open to working with WWE again. She wrote, “100% I would it was a really hard decision for me and I didn’t want my experience to end I loved wrestling and had so much fun training and learning for the best.”

She also made clear that her career in the ring will continue. “I’m leaving the door open for any other wrestling opportunities that come my way,” Nyx stated.

WWE has already started phasing her out of storylines. On the September 23 episode of NXT, she was attacked backstage in an angle that set up her exit. Her Fatal Influence stablemates, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley, discovered her after the assault, with Jayne then suggesting her removal from the group. PWInsider was the first to report her departure.
