Former WWE Star Criticizes Triple H's Booking After Recent Release
During a recent Busted Open Radio appearance, Sonya Deville shared her perspective on the Pure Fusion Collective and her vision for the faction’s potential direction.

Sonya Deville recently shared her thoughts on the Pure Fusion Collective during an appearance on Busted Open Radio. The former WWE superstar discussed her vision for the group she formed with Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark.
Deville returned from her ACL injury in May 2024 and aligned with Baszler and Stark to form the Pure Fusion Collective. The trio appeared sporadically on WWE programming throughout the year and participated in the 2024 women’s Royal Rumble.
During the Busted Open Radio interview, Deville expressed her thoughts on the faction’s direction and potential.
I felt like there could have been a more clear direction in where we were going and what we could have done and what we could have brought to the table. I saw P.F.C. working, kind of only under one umbrella, and I saw it working, we were three chicks that were fed up with the system, anti-authority, that were just gonna kick ass and take names. That doesn’t mean winning every match by any means. It was more like, let’s beat people up backstage. Let me be more like the puppeteer/manipulator backstage because of my history as GM and everything. I thought that would be a cool angle, but let’s just mess people up. That’s what I saw it being
Deville’s WWE contract expired in February 2024, making her a free agent. The Busted Open Radio interview also included discussion about her negotiations with WWE prior to her departure.
The Pure Fusion Collective marked Deville’s return to in-ring competition following her ACL injury recovery. Deville, Baszler and Stark competed together at various points throughout 2024 before Deville’s contract expiration.
