Former WWE Star Set for In-Ring Return

Scarlett Bordeaux has officially announced she will be wrestling again, breaking her silence on in-ring plans after her and Killer Kross's WWE contracts expired earlier this month.

Former WWE Star Set for In-Ring Return

Scarlett Bordeaux is set to make her return to in-ring competition. The announcement comes just weeks after she and her husband, Killer Kross, became free agents following their departure from WWE on August 11.

In a recent interview with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Scarlett confirmed her plans to wrestle again, stating she has a match lined up that she is particularly excited about.

“I will be wrestling again, which I’ve been wanting to do,” she said. “My first match back, I’m really excited about it.”

Scarlett also noted that this new phase of her career is defined by creative freedom, allowing her and Kross to pursue projects on their own terms. “We have a lot of cool stuff coming up, and we have ultimate creative freedom. We can do whatever we want. We’re going to take advantage of this time because who knows how long it’s going to be.”

While her last televised match was on SmackDown in June 2023, her most recent in-ring action was in a mixed tag team match in December 2024. Acknowledging her time away from singles competition, Scarlett admitted to feeling some nerves but remains confident. “Even when I get nervous, ‘Oh, I haven’t wrestled in a while,’ it turns out good,” she explained. “I think I still have that in me. I just try to remember who the fck I am. I’m fcking ready.”

This return to the independent circuit follows the couple’s recent and complicated exit from WWE. Their contracts expired on August 10 after negotiations broke down. According to Kross, WWE presented a contract offer with a 24-hour deadline just days before his deal was up. When he requested to see the analytics the company used to determine the offer’s value, WWE reportedly refused and later rescinded the offer altogether.

Kross has since expressed his disappointment with the outcome, revealing he had hoped to retire with the company. His final match was against Sami Zayn at SummerSlam, an appearance he suspected at the time would be his last with WWE.

Since becoming free agents, Scarlett and Kross have already made a surprise appearance at GCW Homecoming. They are also scheduled for The Big Event NY in Brentwood, New York, on November 15, further confirming their move away from WWE is not part of a storyline.
