Former WWE star spotted backstage at AEW Worlds End
Tyler Breeze’s AEW Worlds End backstage visit clarified amid WWE commitments as Adam Copeland targets Jon Moxley.

Tyler Breeze made an appearance backstage at AEW Worlds End on December 28 in Orlando, Florida. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp revealed details about Breeze’s contractual status and the nature of his visit.
The backstage appearance holds no connection to potential AEW employment. Breeze, an Orlando resident, attended the event for social purposes. His current WWE contract situation, which includes co-hosting duties on Xavier Woods’ WWE-owned YouTube channel UpUpDownDown, makes an AEW transition unlikely. This arrangement also explains his continued presence in WWE 2K’s GM mode while allowing him to accept independent bookings.
Since departing WWE in 2021, Breeze took time to recover from injuries and rediscover his passion for wrestling. His 2023 schedule included appearances for GCW, Prestige Wrestling, and DPW. His latest match occurred at Next Generation Wrestling, teaming with former partner Dirty Dango, previously known as Fandango.
Adam Copeland confronts Jon Moxley at AEW Worlds End
AEW Worlds End delivered unexpected moments in Orlando. Jon Moxley retained the AEW World Championship in a Four-Way Match against Adam Page, Jay White, and Orange Cassidy.
Post-match, Moxley and the Death Riders continued their assault until the Addition Arena went dark. When lights returned, FTR and Adam Copeland emerged. While Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler engaged Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta, Copeland targeted Moxley with a Spear, signaling his championship aspirations.

Penta and Rey Fenix Officially Replaced in AEW with New Team
AEW officially debuts The Lucha Stars tag team featuring Komander and Hologram to fill the void left by The Lucha Brothers after Penta’s WWE move and Rey Fenix’s rumored departure.

AEW has officially formed a new masked tag team to replace The Lucha Brothers following Penta’s WWE debut and Rey Fenix’s rumored upcoming departure from the company. The high-flying duo named The Lucha Stars consists of Komander and Hologram.
The Lucha Stars made their official debut through a vignette aired on AEW Collision, with former Lucha Brothers manager Alex Abrahantes introducing the team. Abrahantes highlighted their intentions to target La Facción Ingobernable members Rush, Dralistico, and The Beast Mortos.
Komander and Hologram have already begun establishing themselves in AEW’s tag team division. Their recent match on Collision saw Hologram team with Top Flight to defeat Shane Taylor Promotions. Following this victory, Dralistico confronted Hologram to continue building their rivalry.
Backstage during the same show, The Beast Mortos taunted HarleyGram, also known as Harley Cameron, adding another layer to the developing feud between the two factions.
Komander, who currently holds the ROH World Television Championship, has been with AEW since March 2023. Hologram is a newer addition to the roster, having debuted in July 2024. The pair first teamed together at Revolution 2025, where they defeated Lee Johnson and Blake Christian.
The formation of The Lucha Stars comes as AEW adjusts to the departure of The Lucha Brothers, who were prominent figures in the company for years. Penta and Fenix, known for their high-flying style and charisma, were original AEW talent who debuted during the company’s first year.
During their AEW tenure, The Lucha Brothers achieved significant success, capturing the World Tag Team Championships once and the World Trios Championships once alongside PAC. Fenix also held the International Championship for a period before leaving the company.
Penta departed AEW last year and made his WWE debut in January 2025. Reports indicate Rey Fenix will soon join his brother in WWE, completing the dissolution of the popular tag team in AEW.

WWE Hall of Famer Highlights Major AEW Issue with Blood in Matches
WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long discusses on The Wrestling Time Machine podcast how AEW’s frequent use of blood across multiple matches diminishes its impact and effectiveness.

Teddy Long has shared his opinion on AEW’s approach to using blood in its programming. The WWE Hall of Famer appeared on the latest episode of The Wrestling Time Machine podcast alongside Mac Davis and Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter.
The discussion centered around the recent AEW Revolution Pay-Per-View, which featured bloody matches including Mariah May versus Toni Storm and Will Ospreay against Kyle Fletcher in a Steel Cage.
Apter noted during the conversation that WWE uses less blood due to PG rating requirements and shareholder considerations. Davis observed that blood creates a bigger impact when limited to a single match rather than being used throughout an event.
Long agreed with Davis’s assessment, explaining that blood should be reserved for main event matches to maximize its effectiveness.
You save it for your main event, Okay? If you’ve seen blood from the beginning [it takes away from the impact]. I’ll give you a quick scenario… there was a time when we’d get ready to go to the ring, [before] all the matches they’d let everybody know, ‘Nobody goes to the outside but the main event, keep your match n the ring!’ [If every match ends up on the floor], then when the main event comes, it means nothing because they’ve already seen it.
The Steel Cage match between Ospreay and Fletcher took place after the Women’s World Championship match between May and Storm, with both contests featuring significant blood.

Former WWE Star Now in AEW Rejects Notion of Being Demoted in Final Days with Company
Former WWE superstar Ricochet explains during a recent interview with Adrian Hernandez that he viewed his WWE Speed Championship role as an opportunity rather than a downgrade.

Ricochet expressed no negative feelings about being crowned the first-ever WWE Speed Champion during his final months with the company. The now-AEW wrestler addressed the topic in a recent interview with Adrian Hernandez.
Some fans had viewed the booking decision as a potential downgrade for Ricochet, who had rarely appeared on television since his loss to Logan Paul at SummerSlam 2023. However, the high-flying performer maintained a positive perspective on the opportunity.
No… You got to look at everything as an opportunity and if you don’t, then I think you’re already kind of defeated. You have to look at everything — especially, you know, they were putting something into this and I wanted to be a part of, again, building something. Building something and making it as big as possible. I like that feeling and so, again, any opportunity you get, you gotta strike and that’s kind of the way I see it and that’s with everything. Life, wrestling, everything.
Ricochet had previously held the Intercontinental Championship during his six-year WWE tenure before departing for AEW.
In a separate interview late last year, Ricochet made a notable claim about his impact on the wrestling industry. The high-flyer suggested AEW as an entity would not exist without his work on the independent scene.
While he acknowledged he wasn’t solely responsible for the promotion’s creation, Ricochet stated he played a significant role in establishing the foundation for All Elite Wrestling.
