Former WWE Talent Surprises By Revealing Constant Support From Paul Heyman

In a revealing update for a wrestler outside the WWE and AEW systems, Parker Boudreaux confirmed he remains in contact with Paul Heyman. In an interview with WrestlingNewsCo, the former Harland said The Wiseman still reaches out with messages of support.

Boudreaux, now developing his “BFD” character on the independent circuit, stressed how much Heyman’s guidance means as he works to prove his passion for wrestling.

“Now, I just want to show people how passionate I’ve been about this business and how much it means to me truly. How much I really want this, and so that’s why I’ve been building this character, this BFD character, and have Paul Heyman still to this day, still messaging me. Obviously, I’m not in WWE, or even AEW right now. But to have him, he’s a Hall of Famer, he’s a one of one guy, nobody’s like Paul Heyman. To have him in my corner still, to this day, means the world to me.”

The connection between the two dates back to Boudreaux’s teenage years. After stepping away from collegiate football, he was recruited into wrestling by Paul Heyman, Jim Ross, and Gerald Briscoe, with Mick Foley also offering advice.

That mentorship continued when Boudreaux signed with WWE in 2021. During his four-month run in the developmental brand as Harland, Heyman provided input on his matches.

After his WWE release in April 2022, Boudreaux wrestled in Major League Wrestling before a two-year stint with AEW. Now a free agent, he is competing across multiple promotions, including in Japan—making Heyman’s continued contact a significant vote of confidence from within WWE.
