Former WWE U.S. Champion Vows Never to Return to WWE
Baron Corbin reveals Triple H praised his character reinvention shortly before WWE let him go. Now a free agent, Corbin promises to reject any future WWE offers.

Baron Corbin’s WWE run came to an abrupt end when his contract wasn’t renewed on November 1, and now he’s dishing on the surprising circumstances behind his exit.
In a revealing statement, Corbin shared that Triple H had actually praised his character work shortly before letting him go.
I reinvented myself and Hunter told me, ‘Great job reinventing yourself, you should really be proud.’ And I got let go.
Corbin explained during a conversation with Ariel Helwani.
The timing of the compliment followed by his release left Corbin with a chip on his shoulder and a clear plan for the future.
Corbin didn’t mince words about his feelings toward a potential WWE comeback, stating his immediate reaction was motivation to build himself up elsewhere.
The first thought that comes to mind is, alright, well I’m gonna become bigger and better and then when you call me to come back, I’m gonna tell you to stick it
Despite his current stance, Corbin acknowledged his feelings might change down the road, adding, “Granted, 6 months from now, hopefully all that irritation and anger goes away.”
For now, Corbin is set to make his MLW debut next month as he explores opportunities outside WWE.
The wrestling business often comes full circle, and sometimes the most unexpected returns make for the biggest moments.
CM Punk And Triple H Find Common Ground
While Baron Corbin has closed the door on WWE, CM Punk’s surprise return shows that even the most bitter wrestling feuds can eventually heal.
Triple H recently reflected on bringing back someone many thought would never return to WWE, saying, “If there was ever a guy you said will never return here, it would be CM Punk.”
During a conversation on Stephanie’s Places, Triple H revealed his approach to mending fences:
Phil, if you’re the same person now that you were ten years ago, you wasted ten years of your life. If I’m that same person, I wasted ten years of my life.
Punk acknowledged the unexpected connection, stating, “I think me and your husband are way more similar than maybe even today we want to admit.”
After his AEW firing two months before his WWE return, Punk now finds himself in a WrestleMania 41 triple threat match against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
