Former WWE World Champion praises shocking New Day betrayal on RAW

Nic Nemeth shared his thoughts on The New Day’s dramatic split during Monday Night RAW, praising how Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods handled their separation from Big E. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the former World Heavyweight Champion analyzed the segment that marked the end of the iconic trio’s decade-long run.

Kingston and Woods stunned viewers when they rejected Big E’s offer to serve as their manager during The New Day’s 10-year celebration. The duo voiced their frustrations before officially removing their injured partner from the group.

“Woods and Kofi genuinely make good real points of, ‘Where were you, man?’ Like take the tone out of their voice, take the anger, look at them, ‘Where were you?’ Like of all the teams, this is the team that’s a family,” Nemeth explained during the 02:11 mark of the show.

Nemeth highlighted Kingston’s cold response to Big E’s injury as particularly impactful. “Kofi saying, ‘So what,’ to his broken neck is so beautiful. It’s so simple, but it’s so beautiful. ‘You got a broken neck, so what?'” he noted.

The segment’s execution impressed Nemeth, who admitted he never expected to dislike Kingston and Woods. He praised WWE’s ability to transform the fan-favorite duo into compelling antagonists through a single, explosive segment.
