FTR’s aggressive streak escalated on the September 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, culminating in a physical attack on a member of the camera crew. The incident saw both Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler get involved in a ringside altercation that turned violent.
The segment began with FTR and Stokely Hathaway in the ring to address their AEW All Out opponents, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. Tensions spilled over when Harwood and Wheeler left the ring to confront fans directly. After a camera operator made physical contact with Harwood, he reacted angrily, and Wheeler escalated the situation by shoving the cameraman to the ground and striking him.
Backstage Frustrations Boil Over On-Screen
This volatile behavior comes on the heels of a public dispute where FTR was forced to defend their professionalism. The controversy started when Jake Hager falsely claimed in an interview that FTR had once refused to attend a show, an accusation Dax Harwood immediately denied.

Tony never interrupted.
Cash and I have NEVER refused to show up to work and, I’d to dare say, if you look at our schedules since Collision started, we’re the most consistent talent that… https://t.co/Hf9mPtyZfe
Cash Wheeler later posted a screenshot of a private apology from Hager, who admitted, “I apologize I shouldn’t have said your names especially when i didn’t know for sure.” Wheeler expressed his frustration with the situation, stating, “To say ‘I think’ and then actually say our names makes us look like assholes and it wasn’t even us. We’re assholes, but we show up for work.”
FTR’s on-screen attack on Dynamite channels the real-life frustration of having their professional integrity questioned. Their next scheduled appearance is a tag team match against Adam Priest and Tommy Billington on the September 13 episode of AEW Collision.
