The final episode of RAW before WrestleMania 41 featured an unexpected appearance from World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, who arrived with pointed remarks directed at his upcoming opponent. The champion made his way to the ring unannounced during the show’s opening segment.
Gunther immediately addressed claims made by Jey Uso regarding fear. “Jey Uso is lying to everyone,” Gunther stated when confronting the issue of Jey’s recent comments about no longer fearing the champion. Michael Cole attempted to question Gunther about potential frustration with the rivalry, but the champion proceeded without acknowledging the inquiry.
During his promo, Gunther highlighted his dominant WWE run as evidence of his superiority.
I’ve spent 80% of my time here as champion, and I won’t let someone like Jey Uso end that.

The champion also made a disturbing reference to his previous attack on Jimmy Uso, Jey’s brother. Gunther threatened that the situation could have been much worse, stating:
If I wasn’t under control, I would have bathed Jey in his brother’s blood.
