Major Update on WWE Legend Hulk Hogan’s Death

Sky Daily, the widow of Hulk Hogan, is preparing to file a lawsuit related to the wrestling legend’s death, sources with direct knowledge told TMZ Sports. The planned legal action is expected to allege medical malpractice, focusing on a neck surgery Hogan underwent in May, just two months before he passed away on July 24.

The core of the claim centers on the belief that Hogan’s phrenic nerve, which is essential for controlling breathing, was “compromised” during the operation. This allegation is consistent with the 911 call made from Hogan’s Clearwater Beach home, where sources say Daily told dispatchers, “My husband’s not breathing. He just stopped breathing.” The emergency was logged as a “cardiac arrest,” but the audio reportedly clarifies he stopped breathing rather than suffering a sudden heart attack.

This theory is also supported by an occupational therapist who was present at Hogan’s home on the day he died. According to reports, the therapist informed police about the suspected nerve damage from the recent procedure.

While the medical examiner’s official cause of death was listed as an acute myocardial infarction, or heart attack, Sky Daily took steps to investigate further by ordering a private autopsy. Although the results have not been made public, her decision to proceed with a lawsuit suggests the findings may corroborate her concerns about the surgery’s role in his death.

Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, had a long history of health issues, including over two dozen operations on his back, hips, and knees. He had also been privately battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia and atrial fibrillation. The Clearwater Police Department has confirmed its own investigation into the circumstances of his death remains open.
