Sky Daily, the wife of Hulk Hogan, has publicly refuted escalating rumors concerning her husband’s health, clarifying the nature of his recent medical issues. The speculation, which has intensified over the past month, was addressed by Daily in a statement posted to her Instagram stories.
The rumors originated from radio host and Hogan’s former friend, Bubba the Love Sponge, who began claiming last month that Hogan was in grave health. This week, he asserted that Hogan’s camp was concealing the severity of his condition. Eric Bischoff had previously commented on the situation on June 18, stating that Hogan was merely experiencing an “adverse reaction” to a neck fusion surgery from earlier in the year.
In her detailed update, Daily directly countered the most serious claims while explaining the complexity of Hogan’s recovery from a major spinal operation.
“No, he’s definitely not in a coma! His heart is strong, and there was never any lack of oxygen or brain damage… none of those rumors are true,” Daily wrote. “He’s been recovering from a major four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF), which is an intense surgery with a long and layered healing process. If you look it up, you’ll see what the last six weeks have involved… not just for his spine, but also for his vocal cords, and the eating/breathing tubes that are clamped over during surgery. We’ve been in and out of the hospital to support that recovery. So truly, there’s no need for the drama or panic some people try to stir up. He’s healing, and we’re taking it one day at a time with love, strength, and patience.”
Shortly before these health complications became public, Hogan and Bischoff had announced a new amateur wrestling venture named Real American Freestyle, in partnership with coach Izzy Martinez. The organization’s inaugural event remains scheduled for August 30 in Cleveland.
