WWE Legend Suggests Ideal Opponent For John Cena’s Final Match

As John Cena’s farewell tour winds down, the debate over his final opponent is heating up, and wrestling legend Rob Van Dam has thrown a blockbuster name into the mix: The Rock.

RVD believes a dream match against the Hollywood megastar is the only proper way to cap off Cena’s legendary in-ring career. “The Rock. The Rock, The Rock, The Rock. That’s definitely as big as you can go, bro. Where are you going to go from there?” Van Dam stated.

Meanwhile, another superstar with deep history is campaigning for that final spot, but with a much more sinister goal. Rusev has made it clear he wants to be Cena’s last opponent in December, vowing to hurt the legend, not celebrate him.

The motivation is pure karma for Rusev, as it was Cena who ended his year-long undefeated streak at WrestleMania 31.

Cena’s tour has already seen him face a series of past rivals, including Randy Orton, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Drew McIntyre. With his next major bout set against Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza, and with The Rock currently busy promoting his film The Smashing Machine, the question of who will officially stand across the ring from Cena for the last time remains wide open.
