The Genesis appearance marked JBL’s third involvement with TNA Wrestling. His initial appearance occurred at Emergence, where he interacted with Nic Nemeth following a successful TNA World Championship defense against Josh Alexander. Over the past year, JBL has appeared in multiple promotions including AAA’s Triplemanía XXXII, Game Changer Wrestling, Major League Wrestling, and Juggalo Championship Wrestling.
JBL Discusses WWE RAW Return Plans
JBL will return to WWE on the January 20, 2025, episode of RAW on Netflix. During an appearance on the Something to Wrestle podcast, he discussed his upcoming return.
I’m excited. They gave me a call and I said, ‘Hey, I’m thrilled to be coming in.’ Pat McAfee is out for the national championship game. So I’m not sure exactly what I’m doing. I kind of got an idea a little bit from Creative, and it sounds all fun.
The WWE Hall of Famer expressed interest in reuniting with Michael Cole at the announcer’s desk and praised WWE’s treatment of returning legends.
