Jey Uso appears to have returned to his heel roots, closing out the September 8th edition of WWE Raw with a shocking spear on LA Knight before seemingly confirming the turn on social media. Hours after the show ended, Jey posted a picture of the attack to his Instagram story with a simple, ominous caption: “I’m back.”
The turn served as a chaotic conclusion to a night that began with the official reunion of The Usos. The main event saw Bronson Reed defeat LA Knight, leading to a post-match beatdown from Reed and his partner, Bron Breakker. When The Usos emerged to make the save, it looked like a united front was forming. However, just as Knight helped Jimmy Uso to his feet, Jey leveled him with a spear, leaving his own brother stunned in the ring.
This marks a significant character shift for Jey, who had been operating as a top babyface since his departure from The Bloodline. A backstage segment earlier in the night even featured Jimmy Uso suggesting Jey was starting to act like Roman Reigns, foreshadowing the eventual betrayal.
The attack drastically changes the landscape ahead of their scheduled tag team match against Reed and Breakker at Wrestlepalooza on September 20.
