John Cena already makes a big impact at WWE Royal Rumble 2025
Royal Rumble ticket sales surge by 3,100 in one week as John Cena’s involvement continues to drive record attendance numbers.
The upcoming Royal Rumble event at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium has seen remarkable ticket sales, with WrestleTix reporting 53,369 tickets distributed out of 56,265 available seats. Only 2,896 tickets remain for the February 1 event.
The past week alone saw an increase of over 3,100 ticket sales, a surge largely attributed to John Cena’s involvement. WrestleTix provided context for Cena’s consistent impact:
John Cena is once again proving why he’s the biggest draw at the box office. Since I started tracking major wrestling events in 2021, his return at the ‘Summer of Cena’ added an additional 2,000-3,000 tickets, at a minimum, to every show he appeared at.
Drawing power remains unmatched
Despite the star power of The Rock, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes, Cena maintains his position as WWE’s most reliable box office attraction. This Royal Rumble holds additional significance as part of Cena’s farewell tour, with Roman Reigns already confirmed for the event.
The event’s strong ticket sales persist despite record-high prices, demonstrating fans’ eagerness to witness Cena’s performance as his in-ring career approaches its conclusion.
