Following his performance as runner-up in the Royal Rumble match on February 1, John Cena declared his participation in the upcoming Elimination Chamber contest. CM Punk secured the first qualifying spot for the match during Monday’s Raw on February 3.
According to PWInsider Elite, Cena has departed for Budapest to begin filming the Apple Originals film ‘Matchbox’. Based on his current filming schedule, Cena will not appear on WWE programming until the Elimination Chamber premium live event on March 1 in Toronto.
During his post-Royal Rumble comments, Cena discussed his commitment to both his WWE career and film projects, noting his immediate departure for Hungary to commence the new movie production.
