Karrion Kross Reveals New Details on WWE Contract Negotiations

In their first major interview since departing WWE, Karrion Kross and Scarlett addressed their current relationship with the company, revealing that while they feel communication is still possible, none has occurred since their exit earlier this month.

Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Kross stated he doesn’t believe they left on bad terms. “No. But I mean, to me and to Scarlett, I don’t feel like we’re on scorched earth communications,” Kross explained. “Like I feel like there’s an ability for us to communicate.”

However, Scarlett highlighted the confusing nature of their final exchange. She recalled telling WWE they had their numbers, only to be told the “line goes both ways.” “I’m like, ‘What do you mean? You said the offer was rescinded. Like the conversation’s over,’” she recounted.

This confirms reports from earlier in August that WWE had abruptly pulled its contract offer. The situation unfolded after Kross, given a 24-hour deadline to accept a new deal, requested to see the analytics used to determine its value. WWE declined the request and rescinded the offer, leading to his and Scarlett’s contracts expiring on August 10.

Kross described the entire ordeal as frustrating and strange, noting that they had approached the company wanting to stay. “They put somebody between us and rescinded the offer,” he said. “We have to laugh about it at this point. We have to move forward… I think things could definitely improve under, you know, healthy communication.”

The duo has already taken steps to control the narrative surrounding their departure. Amid fan speculation that their exit was a storyline, Kross and Scarlett appeared at a GCW event on August 23, where Kross attacked Matt Cardona and declared to the crowd, “It’s clearly not a f—ing work.”

While Kross has previously stated he’s open to a potential WWE return, referring to it as “home,” their immediate future is focused on the independent circuit. They have several high-profile dates scheduled for the coming months.

  • WrestlePro (September 21, 2025): Kross is set to face Richard Holliday in a No Disqualification match.
  • House of Glory (October 10, 2025): Kross will make his debut for the promotion.
  • The Big Event NY (November 15, 2025): Both Kross and Scarlett are scheduled for an autograph signing.
