Kevin Owens Highlights Triple H’s Key Booking Approach

Kevin Owens isn’t holding back about the stark difference between WWE‘s current creative direction and its previous approach. The outspoken superstar recently highlighted how the company’s attitude toward fan intelligence has evolved under Triple H’s leadership.

In a revealing conversation with Adrian Hernandez on “Unlikely,” Owens pointed to the viral Bad Blood 2024 moment when he ambushed Cody Rhodes as a turning point in WWE’s storytelling approach.

It’s definitely been a shift in mindset from people at the top

Owens explained.

Our fans are smart and watch our product and pay attention and remember things, and can remember things a lot better than other people that were in charge before thought they would because I guess they didn’t remember half the stuff we did.

Owens detailed the frustrating creative battles under the previous regime, sharing how his concerns were often dismissed.

I had arguments with the people in charge before. ‘No, this happened three weeks ago, they’re going to remember.’ They said, ‘No, they won’t.’ ‘Yes, they will. You’re insulting their intelligence by pretending they won’t.’

The shift under Triple H has clearly reinvigorated Owens’ enthusiasm for the product.

Obviously, Triple H does not think like that. He knows fans remember and he applies it and uses it. It makes the product way better, in my opinion.

This refreshing take highlights a fundamental change in WWE’s creative philosophy – one that treats fans as intelligent, engaged viewers rather than passive consumers with short attention spans.
