Kevin Owens’ WWE Absence Timeline Revealed
Kevin Owens reveals probable 6-12 month absence during podcast appearance, discussing neck surgery that forced him out of WrestleMania 41.

Kevin Owens has provided an update on the neck injury that removed him from the WrestleMania 41 card, indicating he could be sidelined for up to a year. The veteran performer shared these details during a recent appearance on the “My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox” podcast.
Owens explained that while he hasn’t yet consulted with his surgical team, he anticipates a lengthy recovery period based on similar cases.
I know most people who went through similar things probably were out, you know, six to eight months or a year. So, I assume somewhere in that range, but I don’t really know. As I said, all this is very new right now.
The former Universal Champion officially announced his withdrawal from competition during the April 4 edition of SmackDown, confirming the need for neck surgery and consequently canceling his scheduled match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41. Despite the setback, Owens maintains a positive outlook regarding his eventual return.
I know I’ll be back — or at least, I really hope I’ll be back. I never take anything for granted in what we do, so who knows? But chances are I’ll be back. And then, maybe we can do this [match with Orton at WrestleMania] eventually.
Owens will get a clearer picture of his recovery timeline following his consultation with surgeons on Monday, April 7. Until then, the exact duration of his absence from WWE programming remains uncertain, though the six-month to one-year timeframe provides a general expectation for fans.
