The fallout from a volatile episode of Monday Night Raw has spilled online, centering on the rising tension between LA Knight and Jey Uso. After the show, Knight released a direct-to-camera social media promo addressing the controversial end to their match and vowing consequences for Uso’s actions.
In the fiery message, Knight questioned Jey’s methods and motivations. “I don’t know what that was man. You know, it is crazy to think that that man could come out here that hot, that pissed off. Now, I got a question, check on the philosophy, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em, is that what happened? I know that’s not the truth. I know that’s not what happened. But you damn sure took advantage of what they did. You damn sure took advantage of the damage. Jey, my man, not cool. Very soon, you are going to find exactly how not cool that really is.”
Knight’s frustration stems from their Raw contest, where The Vision created a distraction that allowed Jey to score the victory. Immediately after the pinfall, The Vision launched a post-match assault on Knight while Jey simply walked away, offering no help.
This perceived shift in Jey’s character has drawn concern from his own family. On WWE Raw Recap, Jimmy Uso compared his twin’s demeanor to Roman Reigns. “He ain’t the same bro. He ain’t the same Uce out there, I’m telling you. I know it for a fact. What’s happening is clouded. It’s coming at a cost, though.”
Evidence of that “cost” appeared backstage during the September 22 broadcast of Raw. In a quiet but tense segment, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes approached Jey, seemingly at Jimmy’s request. Jey appeared distant, repeatedly glancing away from Rhodes to fix his eyes on the WWE Championship draped over the champion’s shoulder.
Jey’s hostility on Raw was initially directed at Knight, whom he blamed for The Usos’ loss to The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at Wrestlepalooza, where Knight served as special guest referee.
In his promo, Knight also promised unfinished business with The Vision. “And for the Vision, you already know we got beef going for years, well, not years but at least months, it feels like damn years because it’s been that damn long. It’s been that much that I’ve been left laying by the Vision, by anybody having to do with them. And tonight it was Jey Uso, using the Vision to do it. We going to talk about this one soon. As a matter of fact, I think there’ll be a lot more than, ‘Talk about it.’”
