Official merchandise for this Saturday’s WrestlePalooza premium live event may have revealed a major championship match that has yet to be announced. However, the champion’s current injury status raises significant uncertainty over whether the bout will take place as planned.
According to PWInsider, an official event t-shirt being sold in Indianapolis advertises a Triple Threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship featuring Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Jade Cargill. Its inclusion on licensed merchandise suggests it was the intended direction for the company’s first-ever PLE airing on ESPN.
The situation, however, conflicts with recent updates on Stratton. Last week, she was pulled from the NXT Homecoming special after NXT General Manager Ava confirmed that the champion was not medically cleared. That announcement came just days after her title defense against Jade Cargill on SmackDown ended in a double count-out, a match that concluded with both women being attacked by Nia Jax.
Champion’s Status Throws Match Into Question
With Stratton officially sidelined, the status of the championship bout at WrestlePalooza remains unresolved. The merchandise could have been produced before her injury was disclosed, or it may reflect WWE’s hope that she will be cleared in time for the show.
As of now, WWE has not confirmed the Triple Threat for the WrestlePalooza card, leaving fans to speculate on the direction of the Women’s Championship picture heading into Saturday.
