Latest Update on Jon Moxley's Health After Brutal AEW Dynamite Moment
Jon Moxley survived impalement by a nail-covered board during his March 19 AEW Dynamite championship defense against Cage, reports confirm he’s recovering well.

Following his AEW World Championship defense against Cope on the March 19 edition of Dynamite, Jon Moxley appears to be in good condition despite a particularly brutal weapons spot.
The champion faced Cope in a Street Fight Match after their previous encounter at Revolution. During their violent confrontation, Moxley absorbed punishment from a weapon referred to as “Spike” – a board covered with metal nails.
The championship match featured a cringe-inducing moment when Moxley took a suplex directly onto this weaponized board, resulting in several nails penetrating his back.
Footage showing Wheeler Yuta and the referee carefully removing these metal spikes from Moxley’s back circulated among concerned viewers after the match.
According to Fightful Select, despite the alarming visual, Moxley’s condition was stable following the match conclusion. The report characterized the reaction to this dangerous sequence as “wild,” noting disbelief that the spot actually materialized after multiple teases.
Moxley emerged victorious from the Street Fight Match, successfully retaining his AEW World Championship heading into the company’s upcoming Dynasty pay-per-view.
