WWE SmackDown kicks off. Members of MFT arrive at the arena, along with Sami Zayn. Wade Barrett and Michael Cole welcome the audience, followed by a video package highlighting the rivalry between John Cena and Logan Paul, recapping last week’s events on the show.
A car pulls up to the arena and Logan Paul steps out, immediately greeted by a chorus of boos from the crowd. He walks through the Gorilla Position curtain, with the jeers following him all the way. Logan makes his way to the ring and asks for a microphone, which only fuels the hostility from the fans.
He says that John Cena called him a parasite, and judging by the audience’s reaction, the fans seem to agree. But Logan insists he isn’t a parasite—he’s someone who changes everything. The crowd fires back with louder chants against him.
Logan declares that he signed with WWE to transform the industry. He claims credit for securing deals with Netflix and ESPN, boasting that he brought six billion dollars in profit to the company. To cap it all off, he smugly adds: “You’re welcome.”
John Cena enters the scene and is greeted with a huge ovation from the crowd, who chant his name repeatedly. He asks Mark Nask to introduce him in his final appearance in Lyon and requests a microphone. Cena then addresses Paul, calling him stupid and emphasizing that the fans are the key to WWE superstars’ success. He goes on to say that Logan has potential but doesn’t understand the true meaning of the company, since he isn’t a revolutionary—just an imitator. Cena points out that Paul’s influence no longer defines an era and reminds everyone that in a recent list of the 25 biggest influencers, Paul’s name wasn’t even included. Finally, Cena declares that Logan didn’t come to save the industry—he came only to protect himself.
John and Logan speak in French to interact with the audience. Cena claims to be genuine, unlike Logan, and insists that WWE has always given him opportunities he failed to respect. Cena promises to show what respect really means and steps out of the ring to apologize to a kid he had once offended in Belgium, thanking him for his support. Back in the ring, Logan mocks him. Cena reminds Logan that he was the one who asked for the match at Clash in Paris and gives him 48 hours to prepare, warning that if he isn’t ready, it won’t be Cena who ruins wrestling—it will be wrestling itself that destroys him. Cena drops the mic and leaves the ring.
Backstage, Cathy Kelly interviews The Street Profits and B-Fab. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins say that their rivals aren’t a real team, unlike them, who have been together for eight years. Uncle Hody appears and claims that the Wyatt Sicks are a true family, and that every team that tries to face them ends up failing and questioning whether they are truly a family.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss make their entrance together, but Chelsea Green attacks Flair from behind. She targets the champion’s left leg, while Alexa clashes with Alba Fyre. Officials rush in to separate the wrestlers and pull the rivals apart, but Flair remains down on the mat, writhing in pain after the ambush.
Singles Match: Alexa Bliss vs. Chelsea Green c/ Alba Fyre)
– Bliss pulls off a roll-up on Green, securing the victory.
Alexa Bliss leaves the ring after staring down Chelsea, but Alba surprises her with a kick and drags her back in. The two villains gang up on the tag team champion. Charlotte limps out to help, but Chelsea drops her with an Unpretty-Her. Alba then plants Alexa with a Gory Bomb before the heels finally retreat from the ring.
Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Sami Zayn. He says he’s doing well in his new chapter on SmackDown and shows confidence about capturing the United States Championship. Zayn promises the Lyon crowd that there will be a new champion, while the fans chant his name.
Afterward, Aleister Black appears in a video promo directed at Damian Priest. He declares that the violence will only escalate and vows to destroy the Puerto Rican, leaving just a warning: “Te lo advertí.”
In the interview area, Cathy speaks with Priest. He acknowledges Black’s toughness and recalls nearly having his face broken weeks ago. Still, he insists he doesn’t make empty threats and promises to teach Aleister a lesson when they meet again, saying he’ll savor every moment of the fight. With that, he signs off, and the broadcast cuts back to Cole and Barrett.
Singles Match: Michin vs. Kiana James w/ WWE Women’s United States Champion Giulia
– Michin scores a quick win after catching James with a roll-up.
Giulia attacks Michin during her celebration. Alongside James, she drags her rival to the edge of the ring. Giulia traps Michin against the steel steps and stomps her head into the structure. Giulia and Kiana then pose over their fallen opponent, closing the segment.
Drew McIntyre makes his way to the arena. The Scotsman looks under the ring to make sure Randy Orton isn’t hiding there and also checks the commentary table. He asks Michael Cole about Cody Rhodes’ injury before calling Orton to the ring.
Randy Orton enters to loud cheers. The crowd sings along to “Voices” as he walks to the ring, pausing to sign a fan’s sign. Orton steps inside to chants of “Randy, Randy” while McIntyre watches him closely.
Drew explains that he understands last week’s attack after his SummerSlam loss, but he won’t accept that it was done in defense of Cody Rhodes. He claims Rhodes was never a true friend, only seeking information while Drew was injured. McIntyre accuses Orton of exposing his weakness—his back injury—and says that if Randy believes Cody is really his friend, he’s mistaken.
Randy Orton confronts Drew McIntyre and says he attacked him last week because he considers him an idiot. McIntyre responds with a headbutt and goes for the Claymore, but Orton dodges and counters with a DDT. Orton sets up for the RKO, but security guards, a referee, and a producer rush into the ring. Randy takes out the guards with two RKOs and tricks producer Shane Helms before hitting him with another RKO. He then tries to finish Drew with a Punt Kick, but the Scotsman escapes just in time, bringing the segment to an end.
Backstage, Carmelo Hayes approaches The Miz and asks that the issues from the past few weeks don’t happen again. Miz assures him they’re a team and will go far together. Bo Dallas shows up, claiming that they see things differently, but that he is the true reality. Carmelo replies that Dallas shouldn’t celebrate too early. Bo walks away, and Hayes and Miz reaffirm their partnership before their upcoming match.
Nick Aldis scolds Randy Orton in his office. Orton apologizes and hands him a small bottle of whiskey as compensation. R-Truth shows up and asks if Aldis is going to drink it. He confirms that he will, after the day he’s had. R-Truth remarks that he’s got nothing left and leaves.
WWE Tag Team Championship – #1 Contender’s Match: Melo Don’t Miz (Carmelo Hayes & The Miz) vs. The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins)
– Fords lands a “Neckbreaker” on Hayes, followed by a pinfall.
After the match, The Wyatt Sicks step into the ring to confront their new opponents.
Backstage, Jade Cargill approaches Tiffany Stratton and declares herself the new challenger for the WWE Women’s Championship. Tiffany responds that it doesn’t change anything, reminding her that she remains undefeated in 2025. Jade assures her that when they face off again, that dominance will come to an end, before walking away.
Elsewhere backstage, Solo Sikoa speaks with the members of the MFT, stating that he will not lose to Sami Zayn tonight. He sends a direct message to his rival, promising to deliver a Samoan Spike to finish the match.
WWE United States Championship Match: Solo Sikoa (c) w/ MFT (Talla Tonga, JC Mateo and Tonga Loa vs. Sami Zayn
– Zayn lands a “Helluva Kick” on Sikoa, followed by a pinfall.
The show ends with Zayn celebrating in the ring as the broadcast goes off the air.
