Former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman directed criticism at Lyra Valkyria’s microphone skills following her appearance on the July 7 edition of WWE RAW. The critique came after a segment involving Valkyria, WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch, and Bayley.
The on-air confrontation served as the final build for the trio’s upcoming Triple Threat title match at Evolution this Sunday. During the segment, Lynch addressed her championship defense before being interrupted by both Bayley and Valkyria, leading to a physical exchange that saw Valkyria stand tall after delivering her Nightwing finisher to both opponents.
Following the show, Coachman took to social media to express his opinion on Valkyria’s performance during the verbal exchange.
“I don’t believe a thing Lyra says on the mic. I am begging WWE to start working with some of these talents on delivering promos. It has to go both ways and Bayley and Becky are light years ahead of Lyra. There are levels on the mic and if you are going to he on Raw you have to be at the highest level.”
The segment highlighted the existing tensions between the competitors. Valkyria is focused on reclaiming the championship she lost to Lynch at Money in the Bank last month, while Bayley seeks retribution against the champion for taking her out of action prior to WrestleMania.
