WWE and Netflix are shifting the start time for Monday Night Raw for the next three weeks, moving the show to 7 p.m. EST to get ahead of the NFL’s Monday Night Football. The change was reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
The new, earlier airtime will be in effect for the September 15, 22, and 29 episodes. The move is seen as an experiment to measure if the adjusted schedule helps Raw retain its audience against the historically dominant ratings of professional football.
Raw moved from the USA Network to Netflix in January 2025 and has consistently performed well, frequently placing in the streaming service’s weekly U.S. Top 10 rankings.
However, WWE programming has traditionally seen a drop in viewership when competing directly with the NFL season, which runs from September through January.
If these three test dates prove successful, the adjustment could lead to a more permanent scheduling change for Raw during the fall and winter months. The outcome will be a key factor for WWE’s visibility and Netflix’s strategy to maximize subscriber engagement during a competitive time of year.
