Major Face-To-Face Between Cody Rhodes And Seth Rollins Opens WWE RAW

With both men holding top titles since SummerSlam, the inevitable champion vs. champion clash between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins is officially set for Crown Jewel. On the September 22 episode of Raw, the two rivals met face-to-face in a tense in-ring segment that escalated their personal conflict.

The confrontation began with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins stating their issue runs deeper than a single match, before asking WWE Champion Cody Rhodes for his honest opinion. Rhodes responded by calling his view of Rollins “complicated,” citing a history of “questionable decisions” and his current alignment with Paul Heyman, who stood at ringside with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

While Rhodes acknowledged that Rollins changed his life by facing him at WrestleMania, the mind games soon intensified. Rollins revealed he was wearing a watch gifted to him by Rhodes before that very match for the first time, questioning the sincerity of the gesture.

The segment reached its boiling point when Rollins took issue with Rhodes positioning himself as the future of WWE, emphatically declaring, “I’m the alpha.”

Rhodes fired back by reminding Rollins that they have faced each other three times in singles competition. He then asked pointedly how many of those matches Rollins had won before exiting the ring, leaving his opponent seething.

The segment closed with Rhodes walking past Breakker and Reed, who stood down at Rollins’ signal, adding another layer of tension ahead of their champion vs. champion showdown at Crown Jewel on October 11.
