With NXT: No Mercy just days away, tonight’s go-home episode is stacked with high-stakes matchups. The broadcast features a Winner Takes All main event between champions Oba Femi and Trick Williams, along with several key bouts. New reports now suggest the televised card may also include unannounced appearances from outside talent.
According to PWInsider, between two and four TNA stars are expected to appear on the September 23 broadcast. BodySlam.net corroborated this, adding that several TNA wrestlers are anticipated at the WWE Performance Center for the show. In a related report, BodySlam.net noted that El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. is slated to be present, specifically appearing without his mask.
These developments further intensify the WWE–TNA crossover storyline. The centerpiece of tonight’s show is the main event clash between NXT Champion Oba Femi and TNA World Champion Trick Williams, with the winner advancing to face Ricky Saints at No Mercy.
Reports also indicated a major match announcement for the premium live event: a Weaponized Steel Cage Match between Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe, expected to be made official during the broadcast.
While the potential surprises dominate speculation, WWE has confirmed several segments. Hours before airtime, the company announced that the Lights Out Match between Lexis King and Myles Borne will open the show, marking the fourth televised singles encounter in a feud dating back to July. The card also includes Candice LeRae vs. Lainey Reid in a WWE Speed Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s Match, along with special guest appearances by NASCAR drivers Sam Mayer and Cole Custer.
