Major Title Match Could Be Scrapped From WWE Wrestlepalooza Last Minute

A leaked t-shirt has revealed a massive WWE Women's Championship match for Wrestlepalooza, but a real-life injury to champion Tiffany Stratton has now thrown the entire plan into question.

Major Title Match Could Be Scrapped From WWE Wrestlepalooza Last Minute

A marquee triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship at Wrestlepalooza is now in doubt, despite its inclusion on official event merchandise. The bout, scheduled to feature champion Tiffany Stratton against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill, is dependent on Stratton receiving medical clearance following a legitimate injury.

The issue stems from Stratton’s title defense against Cargill on last week’s SmackDown, where she landed awkwardly during a moonsault to the outside. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Stratton suffered a concussion in the process. The post-match attack by Jax, which featured a noticeably restrained Annihilator, now appears to have been scripted to explain the champion’s removal from television.

WWE has already acknowledged the injury, pulling Stratton from this week’s NXT Homecoming event, with General Manager Ava announcing that she was not cleared to compete.

Speculation intensified when fans noticed a graphic for the triple threat match on Wrestlepalooza merchandise in Indianapolis. WrestleVotes later confirmed the match is indeed part of WWE’s internal plans, but its status hinges entirely on Stratton’s condition.

“Asked a source about the Tiffany Stratton vs Nia Jax vs Jade Cargill matchup graphic on the official WrestlePalooza shirt in Indianapolis, they said the plan is to feature the match on the card, hence its placement. However, it depends on Stratton’s status—she missed NXT Homecoming and remains TBD as of yesterday. Expect clarification tomorrow night on SmackDown.”

With no confirmed timetable for her return, the possibility of losing a major championship match hangs over the Wrestlepalooza lineup. Attention now turns to this week’s SmackDown, where WWE is expected to provide an official update on Stratton’s health and the fate of her scheduled title defense.
