Major Update on Chad Gable’s WWE Return Surfaces

Chad Gable has confirmed he underwent successful shoulder surgery, sharing an optimistic update with fans from his hospital room. In a video posted to social media, Gable appeared in good spirits while watching the movie “Rambo.”

“I made it. I’ll be back quicker than you can say GRACIAS!”

The surgery addresses a legitimate injury that was written into WWE programming. On a late June episode of WWE RAW, Gable was the subject of a backstage attack by Penta, which served as the storyline reason for his extended absence. Reports suggest the recovery period could sideline Gable for several months, with a potential return targeted for late 2025.

Despite his absence, Gable’s on-screen presence continues to evolve. During the June 30 episode of WWE RAW, he addressed his American Made faction, formally appointing Ivy Nile to lead the Creed Brothers while he recovers.

A further twist developed on the following night’s broadcast. Gable’s comedic alter ego, El Grande Americano, made an appearance, though the character was clearly portrayed by a different individual who bore a strong resemblance to Ludwig Kaiser. This development suggests WWE intends to continue the storyline, adding a new layer of intrigue.

Before being written off television, Gable was maintaining a busy schedule, having recently headlined the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event in a losing effort against El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship. His last televised WWE match was a victory over Berto on WWE Speed.
