Major Update on Roman Reigns’ Match at WWE Clash in Paris

Roman Reigns’ return to singles competition against Bronson Reed is slated to kick off tonight’s Clash in Paris premium live event. According to an early event rundown reported by Cory Hays of BodySlam.net, the non-title match between the two will be the opening contest of the show.

The bout, officially announced on August 24, is the culmination of a personal rivalry. Reed, a member of Seth Rollins’ faction “The Vision,” has spent weeks antagonizing Reigns over his part-time schedule. Adopting the moniker “The Tribal Thief,” Reed has repeatedly stolen Reigns’ sneakers following attacks on Raw. The feud also included a tag team match at SummerSlam, where Reigns teamed with Jey Uso to defeat Reed and Bron Breakker.

Tonight’s contest marks a notable point in Reigns’ current run. It is his first singles match since defeating Solo Sikoa on January 6, 2025. Furthermore, it is his first one-on-one match at a premium live event in 786 days that does not have a championship on the line, solidifying his status as a special attraction.

This role aligns with Reigns’ public comments about balancing his careers in WWE and Hollywood. Following the event in Paris, he is expected to take a temporary leave from the company for a film commitment.

Reigns is scheduled to begin filming a new “Street Fighter” movie throughout September. This upcoming hiatus has led to speculation that the finish of tonight’s match could provide a storyline reason for his absence, with a potential post-match assault by The Vision being one of the discussed outcomes.
