This development intensifies a rivalry that has been simmering for months and also ties in with former AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm. Storm is set to appear on this Wednesday’s Dynamite, her first appearance since losing the title to Kris Statlander at All Out.
If confirmed, the bout would be the fifth Blood & Guts in AEW history and the first to feature an all-women lineup. AEW President Tony Khan recently said on a media call that he expects a Blood & Guts match to take place before the end of the year.
One possible site is Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, where AEW will stage Homecoming editions of Dynamite and Collision during the week of October 5. The venue held the inaugural Blood & Guts in May 2021, with later editions following in June 2022, July 2023, and July 2024.
Blood & Guts, AEW’s take on the classic WarGames format, pits two squads inside a single cage covering two rings. The only way to win is by submission or surrender once all competitors have entered. The stipulation has built a reputation for danger, spectacle, and violent high-risk spots.
