El Grande Americano unmasked Dragon Lee during his WWE debut on Raw in Glasgow while a “sick” Chad Gable conveniently provided a doctor’s note to avoid the match.
The mysterious El Grande Americano finally stepped into a WWE ring Monday night, collecting a mask and a victory in his Raw debut from Glasgow, Scotland.
The masked competitor, who Chad Gable insists is definitely not him despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, filled in for the conveniently “sick” Alpha Academy leader.
Gable had presented Raw GM Adam Pearce with a doctor’s note excusing him from his scheduled match against Dragon Lee at the OVO Hydro.
What followed was a fast-paced encounter that had the Scottish crowd on their feet, with chants of “This is Awesome!” echoing throughout the arena.
The match reached its controversial climax when El Grande Americano reached up and ripped Dragon Lee’s mask off in a shocking moment rarely seen on WWE programming.
The unmasking tactic proved effective as El Grande Americano secured the submission victory moments later, leaving Dragon Lee exposed before the Glasgow faithful.
