Major WWE Superstar to leave SmackDown permanently, heel turn after a year? – 4 Directions for LA Knight after losing United States title
At WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, LA Knight’s glorious run as United States Champion came to an end. This end to the Megastar’s run as champion was brought about by Shinsuke Nakamura, who finally won a title in WWE for the first time since August 2021.
While Nakamura will now begin his run as US Champion on SmackDown, it remains to be seen what Knight will do after a difficult loss like this one. Even though the defeat will sting him, there are many directions in which he can continue in his career.

#4. LA Knight can win back his title at Saturday Night’s Main Event
Some of the greatest champions in WWE history have lost their championships, but what made them great is the fact that they were able to win the titles back. Similarly, on the upcoming episode of SmackDown, LA Knight can request Nick Aldis for a rematch against Shinsuke Nakamura.
This rematch in question could take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will take place on December 14. At this event, Knight could look to win back the title from the Japanese wrestling legend. It will be interesting to see if something along these lines takes place at SNME.
#3. Leave SmackDown and move back to RAW on Netflix
Before LA Knight became one of the biggest names on SmackDown, it’s worth noting that he was a member of Monday Night RAW. After this loss at Survivor Series: WarGames, Knight could again look to move to the red brand and make a name for himself.
This potential move could also work in Knight’s favor because RAW will move to Netflix in January 2025. Hence, if Knight can join the Adam Pearce-led brand before that and make an impact, he will surely be in line for a World Championship shot at some point.

In 2023, LA Knight experienced an unprecedented rise in popularity, and he quickly became one of the biggest faces on the WWE roster. However, being a babyface has not done much for Knight so far, and frustrated by the lack of success, the 42-year-old could now look to turn heel.
On SmackDown, Knight could embrace his dark side and cause chaos. Doing something along these lines would not only reinvent Knight, but if he is successful, he can also go up against some of the biggest babyfaces the company has to offer.
#1. Go after Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship
At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens. However, once that match is over, in which Rhodes will most likely be victorious, he will need a new opponent, and LA Knight could step up to the challenge.
Especially if Knight turns heel, he could potentially go on to have a massive rivalry with The American Nightmare. And if The Megastar can impress in this rivalry, it would do wonders for him on SmackDown. Who knows, Knight might end up winning his first World Championship in WWE.
