Mariah May appeared on WWE NXT on June 3. Her appearance occurred during a segment featuring Jacy Jayne’s initial address as NXT Women’s Champion. Lainey Reid, Lola Vice, Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker, and Thea Hail interrupted Jayne, each asserting their claim for a title opportunity.
A brawl erupted among the challengers while Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx, and Fallon Henley observed. Suddenly, the arena lights dimmed, and a spotlight illuminated May positioned on a perch overlooking the ring.
May declared she made the division more glamorous, although the broadcast did not explicitly mention her name. May previously held the AEW Women’s World Championship. Her last match for AEW was at Revolution, where she lost the AEW Women’s Championship to Toni Storm. May was removed from AEW’s roster page on May 30.
