Reports suggest WWE has interest in bringing back Miro (formerly Rusev), with a potential deal expected toward the end of 2025.

WWE might be looking to add another familiar face to its roster soon. According to a recent report, there’s genuine interest within WWE to bring Miro, formerly known as Rusev, back to the company.
The news comes from WrestleVotes Radio on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, which reports that while nothing is happening immediately, a deal could materialize toward the end of 2025.
We are told there is interest within WWE to bring back Miro, aka the former Rusev, to the company. One source said nothing is currently imminent, with the expectation that a deal could be reached towards the end of the calendar year
This development follows February’s report that Miro, Ricky Starks, and Malakai Black were no longer with AEW. Starks has already made his way to WWE NXT, and rumors have swirled about Black and Miro following suit.
Miro previously had a WWE run from 2010 to 2020, during which he held the United States Championship three times. He also had a memorable match against John Cena at WrestleMania 31 and gained popularity with the Rusev Day gimmick.
Wrestling’s revolving door continues to spin, with talent moving between major promotions. The question now is whether Miro can recapture the magic that made him a standout performer during his initial WWE run.
